FAQ's

HSRP stands for High Security Registration Plate. It is a tamper-proof number plate mandated by the Government of India for all vehicles. It features a chromium-based hologram, a laser-etched permanent identification number (PIN), and a hot-stamped IND monogram — making it virtually impossible to duplicate or tamper with.

Yes. As per the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), HSRP is mandatory for all registered motor vehicles in India — both old and new. Vehicles without HSRP can be penalised under the Motor Vehicles Act.

The Colour Sticker (also called Fuel Sticker) is affixed to the windscreen of your vehicle and indicates the fuel type:

  • 🔵 Blue — Petrol vehicles
  • 🟠 Orange — Diesel vehicles
  • 🟢 Green — CNG / Electric vehicles

It is mandatory as per the Supreme Court order and helps in quick fuel identification by traffic police and environmental agencies.

You can book your HSRP online in 4 simple steps:

  • 1. Go to the home page and select your service type
  • 2. Fill in your vehicle and personal details
  • 3. Verify your email via OTP
  • 4. Complete e-KYC and make the payment

After confirmation, you will receive an appointment for installation at your nearest centre or home.

  • ✅ Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
  • ✅ Owner's valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / PAN Card)
  • ✅ Chassis number of the vehicle
  • ✅ Engine number of the vehicle
  • ✅ Mobile number and email address

After successful booking and payment, you will be given an appointment date. Installation at the authorised centre typically takes 15–30 minutes. Home installation may take longer depending on your location and slot availability.

Yes! You can track your order status by clicking on "Track Your Order" in the navigation menu. Enter your Booking ID and Vehicle Registration Number to see the real-time status of your order.

As per the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019, vehicles without HSRP can be fined ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 by traffic police. The exact penalty may vary by state. It is strongly recommended to get HSRP fitted at the earliest.

If your HSRP plate is damaged or lost, you can apply for a replacement through the "Replacement/Retain/Transfer" option on the home page. Select "Replacement" as the reason, fill in your vehicle details, and proceed with payment.

Yes. If your HSRP plate has been stolen, you are required to file an FIR at your local police station before applying for a replacement. A copy of the FIR may be required during the booking process or at the time of installation.

Yes. You can apply for retention of your existing registration number when your old vehicle is scrapped and you purchase a new one. Select the "Retain" option and follow the process. Additional documentation may be required from the RTO.

When you sell your vehicle, the HSRP plate belongs to the vehicle and must be transferred to the new owner. You can apply for this through the "Transfer" option. Both seller and buyer details will be required along with the RC transfer documents.

The cost of replacement depends on vehicle type and the number of plates required (front, rear, or both). Please check the price displayed during the booking process. GST at 18% is applicable on the service price.

The HSRP frame is a standardised border/holder that secures the High Security Registration Plate to the vehicle. It is designed to prevent tampering and unauthorised removal of the plate from the vehicle body.

Yes, for new HSRP bookings the frame is included as part of the complete installation. If you need a separate frame (for example if the original frame is broken), you can book it under the "Frame" category.

No. The HSRP frame is designed with snap-lock technology. Once fitted, it cannot be removed without visible damage — this is intentional to prevent theft and tampering. Any attempt to forcibly remove it will visibly break the snap-locks.

The HSRP frame is made of high-grade ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic that is weather-resistant, UV-stable, and durable. It is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions across India.

Park+FasTag is a combined solution that integrates your vehicle's FasTag (for toll payments) with a parking payment system. It allows seamless payment at both toll plazas and parking facilities using RFID technology — no cash required.

Yes. As per NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) directive, FasTag is mandatory for all four-wheeled vehicles on national highways since February 16, 2021. Vehicles without FasTag are charged double the toll fee at all FasTag lanes.

You can book Park+FasTag service from the home page under available service options. After booking, the FasTag sticker will be delivered or installed at the time of your HSRP appointment. Your vehicle details and RC copy will be needed for activation.

The FasTag RFID sticker is placed on the inside of the windscreen, on the top-centre or top-left area. It must be placed exactly as per NHAI guidelines to ensure proper scanning at toll plazas. Incorrect placement may result in failed scans.

Yes. FasTag can be linked to most major Indian banks (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Paytm Bank, etc.). You can also load money into your FasTag wallet and recharge it via UPI, net banking, or credit/debit card through the respective bank's app or NHAI portal.

If your FasTag balance is insufficient at a toll plaza, the system will flag the vehicle. You may be asked to pay double the toll in cash. To avoid this, ensure your FasTag wallet is recharged regularly. You can set up auto-recharge notifications through your bank's app.
